The PIONEERS - Hotel
The PIONEERS is a newly build place in Bakhmaro. We have chosen this name as we have been the first to develop a winter season in Bakhmaro. For us the winter is the main season.
The modern house has got 10 rooms with private bathroom and balcony. The rooms do not have a TV as we believe that it is more interesting to enjoy Bakhmaro, meet other guests and spend the time socializing.
The house is equipped with central heating and panoramic windows. On the first floor is the dining area and the living room with open fire place. In front of the house is a terrace with a nice view over Bakhmaro.
In the basement the PIONEERS has got a sauna with relax room. There is the opportunity to get a massage. A ski, boot and bike room offers a safe and dry storage for your equipment and a chance to repair or service it.
Food
In the morning we offer an international breakfast buffet with locally baked bread, homemade jam and honey from local beekeepers, eggs and cheese from the local farmers. We always offer fresh fruit, muesli and yoghurt and juices, coffee and local tee. However, traditional Georgian dishes like Chatchapuri or Burano can be ordered as well.
Cafe
Together with our hotel we operate a small cafe in a glass pavillion with a terrace including a nice view over Bakhmaro.
In summer we serve local dishes (khachapuri, chashushuli, Prali, etc) pizza and french fries as Bakhmaro is a place for families and a lot of kids are around and we also offer a few international dishes- like pasta with red pesto, chesadilla and cesar salad.
We also have a range of homemade cakes (cheesecake, appel pie or fruit & cream pies) and different coffee specialities like turkish coffee, cappuccino, espresso or americano (Lavazza).
In the evening we offer a few longdrings like Aperol Spritz, Hugo or Cuba Libre, local spirits and Georgian beer and wine.
Activities
Bakhmaro is a summer resort with various activities from hiking and mountain biking to horse riding. You can find suggestions for trails on this webpage. Almost a must-see is the sunset at sunset mountain. We have our own outdoor guides in the house and can arrange for horses to rent.
In winter ski-touring, splittboarding and snowshoeing are popular outdoor sports.
The PIONEERS offers sauna and massage (surcharge).
